Upper Mustang & Lo-Manthang Trekking Upper Mustang trekking is one of the restricted areas of Nepal which is lies in the north-west region of Nepal and Situated at the head of the Kali Gandaki in north central Nepal, the little-known district of Mustang is physically and culturally a part of Tibet. Mustang region is divided into two parts namely the Upper Mustang and the Lower Mustang. Upper Mustang is largely inhabited by Manangi people and goes up to the ancient capital of Lo Manthang. Mustang is the only district in Nepal with its own King. Lo-Mangthang is the capital of the Mustang region. Upper mustang and Lo manthang is strict control in obtaining a special permit from the Department of Immigration and through Nepal government registered trekking companies to protect their tradition from outside influence as well as to protect their environment. Day 01: Arrival in kathmandu 1334m, Himalaya Journey Treks & Expedition’s representative will transfer to hotel , Upper Mustang & Lo Manthang trekking briefing with officially arrangements. overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 02: After breakfast, our tour guide will take to you for historical monuments sightseeing around kathmandu valley such as Bhkatapur, pasupatinath, Boudhhanath, kathmandu durbar square & Swaymbhunath(monkey temple) and prepare for the Mustang trekking because this day is required to make Mustang special trekking permit with original passport. Overnight at kathmandu.
Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara 915m. by tourist bus or by flight. overnight at Hotel in Pokhara.
Day 04: After breakfast, Pokhara by private vehicle to Nayapul 956m than trek to Hile/Tikhedhunga 1555m. Overnight at Hile/Tikhedhunga.
Day 05: Hile/Tikhedhunga trek to Ghorepani 2855m. Overnight at Ghorepani.
Day 06: Early in the morning HJT trekking guide will take to you Poon Hill 3210m for superb Himalayan scenery including the Dhaulagiri 8167m, Nilgiri 7041m, Fishtail/Machhapuchhare 6998m, Annapurna I 8091m, Annapurna II 7939m , Annapurna III7555m, Annapurna IV 7525m, Annapurna south 7219m, Hiunchuli 6441m, Lamjung Himal 6986m,Tukuche peak 6920m etc , breakfast at ghorepani and continue trek to Tatopani/Natural hot spring 1179m.Overnight at Tatopani.
Day 07: Tatopani trek to Ghasa 2013m. Overnight at Ghasa.
Day 08: Ghasa trek to Marpha 2667m. Overnight at Marpha.
Day 09: Marpha trek to Kagbeni 2810m. Overnight at tented camp.
